Free People

Any day wearing Free People is my favorite day of the week.  I'm currently loving their super comfy harem pants in leopard print for winter into spring styling. Since spring break is almost a month away I am thinking they would look awesome paired with a one or two piece swimsuit ! These pants also come in a bunch of different patterns, which I fully intend on purchasing in the near future. The floral baseball jacket is the perfect mix of girly meets sporty for the on trend varsity look of the moment.  I added burgundy booties and a hat for my favorite shade of this season. Luckily I shot this on a beautiful day when New York was experiencing a quick respite from the polar vortex, and this outfit was the perfect addition to my favorite backdrop, Minetta street and the DUMBO pier.  Links and deets below :)

Channeling Charlie

I have to admit.  I've always been a fan of Charlie Chaplin.  There is something very cute about him waddling around in a tuxedo jacket, cane and hat.  So its kind of obvious that I would eventually channel his spirit and have a moment with menswear.  Feminized and with a touch of modern of course.  You may think that the menswear look for women is tricky to pull off, but more recent advancements such as the boyfriend jean make it a bit easier for us gals.  I personally like to pair a tuxedo inspired blazer (see below) with a pair of slouchy bf jeans and pointy heels for that sexy, effortless look.  Throw on a polka dot or striped tee or even a chambray top and your all set.  It wouldn't be Charlie Chaplin esq without a bowler hat so that is mandatory !

Lip Service

Wear your lipstick on your collar.  Literally.  Yes, it's almost Valentine's Day, but this trend can be worn at any time of the year.  Bold lipstick isn't just for makeup!!  I really am loving this kitschy lip print on everything from lip shaped bags, to lipstick pouts all over a sweater, blouse, socks and dresses.  It's been seen all over the spring runways, and also spotted at the Autumn Winter 14' shows this week in NY.  Everyone from Lulu Guinness to Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Prada and Sonia Rykiel has gotten in on this adorable trend.  If I were you I would forgo the typical wearing red on V day and switch it up with a smooch print!  See some of my picks and favorite lipsticks below.
Kisses,
